BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with PN Composite and the Bangladesh Handicrafts Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BANGLACRAFT) on Sunday, 28 June 2026, aiming to further strengthen industry–academia collaboration and strategic partnerships. The signing ceremony was held at the BUFT Board of Trustees Conference Room. The agreements are designed to enhance industry engagement and create expanded opportunities for internships and career development, alongside initiatives in professional training, collaborative research, and skills development to improve graduates’ employability.

The MoUs were signed by Mr. Tapan Kumar Saha, Managing Director of PN Composite, and Mr. Md. Belal Hossain, President of BANGLACRAFT. On behalf of BUFT, the agreements were signed by Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Vice Chancellor (Designate), deans of various faculties, senior officials, faculty members, and Mr. Malick Shamim Akhtar, Senior Coordinator of the Career Development Center, who coordinated the program. Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of industry–academia collaboration in enhancing students’ employability, fostering innovation, and supporting sustainable development. Representatives of PN Composite and BANGLACRAFT also reaffirmed their commitment to building long-term partnerships that will create meaningful opportunities for BUFT students.
