BUTEX Business Club has announced its new committee for the 2026–27 session, with a renewed commitment to strengthening students’ professional development, entrepreneurship, leadership skills and engagement with the corporate world. The newly formed committee aims to build on the club’s existing legacy while introducing new initiatives and platforms to create greater opportunities for students of Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX).
Md. Nafis Fuad, President of BUTEX Business Club, expressed his enthusiasm about taking on the leadership role, describing it as both a pleasure and a significant responsibility. Reflecting on his journey from a general member to President, he highlighted his passion for the club and his continuous desire to learn. “Leading BUTEX Business Club as its President is both an immense pleasure and a huge responsibility for me. My goal is clear: to elevate the club to new heights through our new committee, not just within the University, but across the corporate world as well,” he said. He further stated that the committee will work to serve students through new platforms and initiatives, with a focus on career development, entrepreneurship and connecting students with global opportunities. He also emphasized that the President, General Secretary and all club officials will work collectively to achieve these objectives.
Abdullah Al Maruf, General Secretary of the club, said that his new responsibility represents a commitment to serve, lead and create meaningful impact. “Taking on the responsibility of General Secretary of BUTEX Business Club is an honour I deeply value. I see this not just as a position, but as a commitment to serve, lead and create impact,” he said. He outlined plans to make the club more active, inclusive and meaningful by bringing greater industry exposure, skill-building opportunities, competitions and impactful initiatives to campus. He also emphasized building a culture centered on learning, teamwork and leadership.
Md. Rakibul Islam, Senior Vice President, said the club will focus on expanding its core programs while embracing modern approaches to business education and professional development. “BUTEX Business Club has always stood for impact, personal growth, and preparing future leaders. In this new committee, we will be focusing on expanding our core programs: integrating modern digital strategy, business simulations, and deeper corporate partnerships,” he said. He added that the new committee is committed to creating lasting value for students and strengthening the club’s impact both on campus and beyond.
Ramisa Huq Chowdhury, Additional General Secretary, also emphasized the club’s commitment to empowering students and creating opportunities for their personal and professional growth. She said, “BUTEX Business Club has always been committed to empowering students and creating opportunities for them to grow, both personally and professionally. I hope our committee can continue this legacy.”
