The Buyers Forum Meeting was held today between senior BGMEA leadership and Buyer Representatives at H&M Bangladesh office.
BGMEA was represented by President Mahmud Hasan Khan, Senior VP Inamul Haq Khan, VP Rezwan Salim, Directors Shah Rayeed Chowdhury, Faisal Samad, Nafis Ud Doula, Joarder Mohammed Hosne Quamar Alam, Chairman Standing Committee on Buyers Forum Maashed R Abdullah and Standing Committee on Buyers Forum Member Emdadul Islam (Director Babylon Group).
In-depth discussions were held on prevailing energy crisis, upcoming LDC graduation & GSP and newly gazetted Bangladesh Labour Law implementation. The BGMEA President briefed the brand representatives on Government initiatives to address the issues and how BGMEA is collaborating with all stakeholders on the issues at hand. He further requested the brands to extend their full support for the LDC deferment and at the same time to consider rising energy costs.
