cambodiaCambodian exports of clothing to the EAEU decreased annually from April to June 2020 by 36.6 percent. As said, the clothing industry is a backbone of Cambodia’s export sector, with over half the total exports of commodities from the country being supported by the Kingdom, said Fibre2Fashion.

It found that the majority of Cambodian garment makers still follow the cut-off technology due to underdeveloped processing technologies and lower availability of resources. The US and the EU are the primary export destinations for Cambodia’s garments and constitute more than 35 percent of the overall exports of the clothing industry. By 2020, Cambodia’s bilateral trade with the EU has crossed $67.36 million. There were $52.19 million in Kingdom exports. EAEU imports hit 15.17 million dollars from Cambodia.

Clothing, boots and rice were mostly exporting products to the EAEU. Imports include gems, fertilizers, feed for cattle, tractors, paper and medications.
