Chattogram Textile Engineering College (CTEC) has been officially recognized as the Best Textile Engineering College in Bangladesh for the academic year 2024–2025 by the Government of Bangladesh. This prestigious honor highlights the institution’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and contributions to the country’s textile industry.

The award, conferred by the Ministry of Textiles and Jute in collaboration with the Department of Textiles (DoT), was based on a comprehensive evaluation of academic performance, research output, industrial collaboration, student success, and infrastructural development across all textile engineering institutions in the country.
Md. Solaiman, Principal (A.C.) said, “This recognition is a proud moment for our students, faculty, alumni, and all who have supported our journey. At CTEC, we strive to equip the next generation of textile engineers with the knowledge and skills needed to lead in a dynamic, global industry.”

Over the past year, CTEC has implemented cutting-edge curriculum reforms, expanded its research footprint in sustainable textiles and automation, and forged strategic partnerships with leading national and international textile companies. The college has also seen a significant increase in graduate employability and entrepreneurial ventures launched by alumni.
This achievement not only reinforces CTEC’s leadership in textile education but also underscores the vital role of technical institutes in driving Bangladesh’s economy — especially in the textile and garments sector, which remains the country’s largest export contributor. The Ministry has praised CTEC for its holistic approach to education, dedication to innovation, and ongoing efforts to align academic training with industry needs.
