A new cohort of circular champions, with 16 representatives from eight textile organizations, successfully graduated from the CIRCO program, learning to implement circular business models that balance profitability with environmental responsibility.
CIRCO Hub Bangladesh has successfully concluded Track 4 in Dhaka on September 7, 2026, marking another significant milestone in the country’s transition toward a sustainable, circular industrial ecosystem. The intensive three-day programme brought together a cohort of enterprises from Bangladesh’s Ready-Made Garment (RMG) and textile sectors to design and refine circular business models using the globally recognised CIRCO methodology of the Delft University of Technology.

The three-day workshop, conducted over a period of three weeks, was organized by LightCastle Partners with support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), and CIRCO International. Since its launch in early 2026, CIRCO Hub Bangladesh has conducted four successful Tracks, each bringing together a diverse group of industry players committed to exploring circular solutions. Track 4 continued the Hub’s mission to equip Bangladeshi companies with the tools and strategies needed to move beyond the traditional linear “take-make-dispose” model toward regenerative systems where materials are reused, recycled, and reintegrated into production cycles. As global markets continue to evolve, CIRCO Hub Bangladesh’s work remains critical to ensuring the country’s industrial sector is equipped to meet the demands of a more sustainable, resource-conscious future.
Three Days of Insight Exchange and Co-building
The fourth Track was led by a team of certified CIRCO trainers from LightCastle Partners: Mr. Md. Mubassir Rahman, Principal Business Consultant; Ms. Ainan Tajrian, Senior Business Consultant; and Ms. Areeba Rahman, Business Analyst.
The Track brought together professionals from eight prominent organizations across the textile value chain, each committed to exploring circular solutions within their own operations. The participants represented Ajax Sweater Ltd., Turag Garments and Hosiery Mills Ltd., Impress Newtex Composite Textiles Ltd., Bea-Con Knit Wear Ltd., Zaber and Zubair Fabrics Ltd., Palmal Group of Industries, NKM Fashion Ltd. and Textown Group.

Throughout the three-day programme, the workshop featured compelling keynote addresses and insightful contributions from a range of prominent voices, adding significant momentum to the discussions.
The Track commenced with welcome remarks from Mr Ashim Rahman, Policy Advisor at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh. He underscored the growing importance of circularity in global trade and reaffirmed the critical role of initiatives such as CIRCO Hub in supporting Bangladesh’s transition to a circular future and enhancing competitiveness.
The programme also hosted Mr ABM Faqrul Alam, Head of Sustainability at Urmi Group, and Mr Monower Hossain, Head of Sustainability at Team Group, also a participant from Track 1 of CIRCO Hub Bangladesh, who joined as distinguished speakers, sharing their firsthand experiences and insights on adopting circular practices and the growing urgency of it in light of the climate and global trade realities. Additionally, Mr Safir Khan, Chief Executive Officer of Proman DPP, and Mr Nazmus Sadat, Sustainability Entrepreneur and Trainer, offered their expert perspectives on the importance of circular and traceable practices to ensure responsible business conduct and greater competitiveness. While the core Track offered guidance and tools to design a circular business, these extended sessions connected the theories to real cases and linked circularity and traceability needs to the environmental and economic sustainability of the sectors.

The three-day program culminated in a dynamic pitching session, where participants presented their circular business propositions to industry experts, followed by a certificate-giving ceremony to recognize their successful graduation. The closing segment featured notable remarks from Mr Nure Alam, Chief Executive Officer, Greener Garments Initiative (GGI), Mr Sajjadul Alam, Senior Assistant Secretary, BGMEA, and Ms Farzana Sharmin, Joint Secretary (Compliance Cell), BKMEA, who shared their perspectives on advancing circularity and the importance of collaborative adoption of circular and traceability practices.
