Community Bank Bangladesh PLC. and SOLshare Strategic Partnership to Drive Green Mobility

Community Bank Bangladesh PLC. and SOLshare Ltd. have entered into a strategic partnership to expand access to finance for smart, energy-efficient batteries in Bangladesh’s rapidly growing three-wheeler EV sector.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Kimiwa Sadat, Managing Director, Community Bank Bangladesh PLC., and Dr. Sebastian Groh, Founder & CEO, SOLshare.

The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Md. Ariful Islam, Head of Corporate Banking & Head of Business, Community Bank, Md. Mamunur Rahman, Head of ADC & MD’s Coordination Team, Community Bank, Ms. Anisa Ali, CFA, Director of Finance SOLshare, and other senior officials from both organizations.

This collaboration will support hundreds of EV garages eager to adopt energy-efficient battery solutions but constrained by costly financing options. By combining Community Bank’s green SME financing with SOLshare’s innovative Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) technology, the partnership will deliver inclusive, affordable, and flexible financial solutions across the EV ecosystem.

Through this initiative, Community Bank and SOLshare aim to:

  • Empower garage owners with sustainable financing options
  • Accelerate adoption of smart, energy-efficient batteries
  • Drive inclusive growth in Bangladesh’s EV sector
  • Support the nation’s transition toward a cleaner, greener energy future

This partnership marks a significant milestone in promoting green energy, sustainable mobility, and financial inclusion in Bangladesh.
