In anticipation of the upcoming BGMEA Election 2025–2027, a significant dialogue meeting was held today between the Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA) and FORUM, one of the prominent panels of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).

The meeting, conducted in a spirit of mutual cooperation and strategic collaboration, brought together all members of both BGBA and FORUM. The event served as a platform to discuss the challenges and opportunities confronting the apparel and buying house sectors, and to align on a shared vision for the future of Bangladesh’s readymade garment (RMG) industry.

Leaders and members of both organizations exchanged views on policy matters, sectoral development priorities, and the significance of strong representation in the upcoming BGMEA elections. The discussions emphasized the critical role of buying houses in the global supply chain and the necessity of inclusive leadership within BGMEA to guarantee sustainable industry growth.

In his remarks, the BGBA President conveyed optimism about future collaboration and emphasized the significance of unity within the industry. FORUM leaders acknowledged BGBA’s contribution to the RMG sector and reiterated their commitment to working hand-in-hand for the prosperity of the entire apparel ecosystem. This meeting signals an important step toward greater cooperation between buying houses and manufacturers, setting a positive tone for the upcoming BGMEA election and beyond.
