Corona Virus about to hit Bangladesh Exports

A segment of foreign buyers told Bangladeshi apparel exporters that their current export orders will be reduced by 15-30 per cent in the face of the adverse effects of coronavirus outbreak in China and its subsequent spread to many other countries around the world.
The government is assuring exporters of all kinds of policy support to face the effect. Several buyers are calling for export air shipments while others are requesting discounts on rates. The BGMEA also asked the Bangladesh Bank to extend all-round help so that exporters did not face any banking problems related to the release of products that were now arriving in the country after the outbreak.
