The Chattogram Textile Engineering College Alumni Association (CTECAA) successfully organized CTECAA Family Day 2025 on Tuesday, 16 December 2025, at the scenic Fortis Downtown Resort, Beraid, Fakirkhali Road, Dhaka. The day-long programme brought together alumni, their families, senior members of the Association, and invited guests in a warm and festive environment, reinforcing unity, heritage, and alumni bonding.

The event commenced in the morning with the arrival and registration of participants, followed by a cordial reception. The formal segment began with the recitation from the Holy Qur’an and Gita Path, reflecting CTECAA’s commitment to inclusivity and mutual respect. The programme further featured with Bangladesh National Anthem and a solemn tribute to the martyrs of the Great Victory Day, paying homage to the nation’s history and sacrifice. Subsequently, the event was formally inaugurated by Engr. Japar Uddin Chowdhury (Sabuj), Chief Executive Officer of Nakshi Color chem & President of CTECAA and the leadership.

Sports and Recreational Activities
A wide range of sports and recreational events were organized to ensure inclusive participation for members of all age groups. These activities created an atmosphere of joy, enthusiasm, and family engagement throughout the day. The competitions included:
- Chocolate Run for children (up to 8 years)
- Running Competition for boys and girls (aged 9–12 years)
- Candle Race for women participants
- Needle Thread Race for women participants
- Men’s Balloon Race
- Drawing Competition for children etc.

The sports segment was efficiently coordinated by the CTECAA Sports Wing, ensuring smooth management and active participation.
Fellowship Lunch
Following the sports events, participants enjoyed a communal lunch, providing an opportunity for alumni and their families to reconnect, exchange experiences, and strengthen professional and personal networks in a relaxed setting.
Cultural Programme
In the afternoon, the event transitioned into a vibrant cultural programme, showcasing the creative talents of CTECAA members and their families. The programme featured:
- Performances by members’ children
- Solo and group musical performances
- Dance performances
- Sabrina Porshi’s band Bornomala
- VERSATILE SD Band performance etc.
The cultural segment was organized and executed by the CTECAA Cultural Wing, adding artistic flair and festive spirit to the occasion.

Closing CeremonyThe celebrations concluded with an energetic band show, followed by the formal closing announcement by the President of CTECAA. In the concluding remarks, the Association expressed sincere appreciation to all participants, organizers, volunteers, and supporters whose collective efforts contributed to the success of the event.
Strengthening Alumni Bonds
CTECAA Family Day 2025 stood as a significant platform for strengthening alumni relations, celebrating shared achievements, and fostering a sense of belonging among graduates of Chattogram Textile Engineering College.
