DBL Group signed the Lease Agreement with BEZA for the lease of land in the Sreehatta Economic Zone in Sylhet

19400438_1057389721029560_6391752939475295231_oDBL Group signed the Lease Agreement with Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) for the lease of land in Sreehatta Economic Zone in Sylhet for the development of DBL Industrial Park on 22 June 2017 at Surma Hall, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel. Dr. Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, Principal Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office attended the program as the Chief Guest. Special guests of the event were Chairman of DBL Group, Abdul Wahed and Nazimuddin Chowdhury, Secretary, Energy & Mineral Resources Division. Paban Chowdhury, Executive Chairman (Secretary), BEZA attended as the chair of the event. The event was also graced by Dr. M. Emdadul Haque, Executive Member, BEZA, Mohammed Ayub, Secretary, BEZA Executive Board and other dignitaries of several other organizations.

DBL Group’s Managing Director, M. A. Jabbar shared a detail presentation on the DBL Economic Zone Ltd. during the signing ceremony. M.A. Rahim, Vice Chairman and M.A. Quader, DMD and Group CEO of DBL were also present during the ceremony. From BEZA, Harunur Rashid, Executive Member, Investment Promotion and from DBL, M.A. Quader, DMD & Group CEO signed the agreement.

The project is envisioned to develop the DBL Industrial Park complying all infrastructural and community facilities aligning the prime objective of Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) to attract local and foreign investors for Large manufacturing and service industry targeting the continuous economic growth of the country. DBL Group signed the Lease agreement for 170 acres of land and has planned on investing in 19 different projects across 15 diversified sectors. The sectors include spinning, textiles, garments, bag manufacturing, heavy steel industry, ceramics, hardware, chemical, artificial leather, construction material, interior design and construction, storage rack solution, cable, mattress and accessories. DBL Industrial Park will require an investment of 1.2 billion USD and a workforce of about 39000 strong over the next four years. Apart from Sewage Treatment Plants, Central Effluent Treatment Plants, Solar Panels, Energy efficient manufacturing machineries, Rainwater harvesting plants the DBL Industrial Park will also have hospitals, educational institutions, dormitories, training centers, mini fire station, day care centers, playground, gymnasium, market complex, mosques and motels within the community.
