The company specializes in dyeing, drying, and finishing equipment for knitted and woven fabrics. With a strong focus on innovation, automation, energy efficiency, and sustainable production, DMS serves textile manufacturers across global markets. Its comprehensive solutions are designed to enhance productivity, reduce processing costs, and improve fabric quality, making the company a recognized technology partner for the modern textile industry.

Recently, Team Textile Focus spoke with Özgur Avcu, Mechanical Engineer (MSc) & R&D Manager, DMS Dilmenler Makine ve Tekstil San. Tic. A.Ş., and Tariful Ahosan Chowdhury, Managing Director, TEXORA GLOBAL, the exclusive agent of DILMENLER Dyeing & Finishing Machines, Türkiye, about the latest innovations in textile dyeing and finishing technology, energy and water efficiency, digitalization, and DMS’s growing commitment to the Bangladesh textile industry. A brief discussion is given below.

Q. As a leading technology provider, what is your latest innovative technology that helps reduce processing costs while saving energy and water?

A. Today, textile manufacturers in Bangladesh are no longer focused solely on the initial investment cost when purchasing machinery. Energy consumption, water usage, operational costs, quality consistency, automation, reliability, service support, remote access, sustainability, and return on investment (ROI) have all become decisive factors in investment decisions. At DMS Dilmenler, we have shaped our latest technological investments around these expectations. Unlike companies that focus on a single stage of production, we provide comprehensive solutions across textile dyeing and finishing. In our new-generation dyeing and finishing machines, we have developed process optimizations that reduce energy consumption, technologies that minimize water usage, and digital solutions that enable real-time production analysis. Through OEE monitoring, energy management, remote access, and data analytics, our customers can improve productivity while reducing their overall operating costs. One of our key innovations is our DMS03 Air-Jet Dyeing technology. Unlike conventional systems that rely heavily on hydraulic flow, our air-jet machines use air to circulate the fabric, significantly reducing water consumption. Depending on the process and fabric, water consumption can be as low as 16 liters per kilogram, including dark-color dyeing. For us, technology is not simply about machine performance. It is about creating a sustainable investment that reduces our customers’ total cost of ownership while improving productivity and process reliability.

Q. Bangladesh’s textile industry is facing severe gas and electricity shortages that are affecting production. How can your latest dyeing technology support manufacturers?

A. We recognize that Bangladesh is one of the world’s most important textile production hubs, and that energy costs and fluctuations in energy supply are among the industry’s most significant challenges. That is why energy efficiency is at the heart of the technologies we develop at Dilmenler. Through more efficient heat-transfer systems, optimized process times, and advanced automation, our latest technologies help factories reduce both gas and electricity consumption. In addition, continuous monitoring of energy, water, and production data helps manufacturers identify inefficiencies early and take corrective action. Our approach is simple: the future of competitiveness belongs not to machines that consume more energy, but to smart technologies that achieve the same or better quality with less energy. Therefore, energy efficiency and sustainability are not additional features for us; they are fundamental principles behind our new product development.

Q. What is your key strength compared with other technology providers?

A. Dilmenler’s greatest strength is that we do not simply sell machinery; we aim to become a long-term technology partner for our customers. Since 1982, we have combined our experience in textile dyeing and finishing technologies with continuous innovation, digitalization, and sustainability. One of our key differentiators is the breadth of our technology portfolio. At Dilmenler, we possess one of the most comprehensive ranges of machinery in the world for knitted, woven, and nonwoven fabric processing. Our core strengths include machinery for Yarn dyeing and Drying; Fabric Dyeing, Drying, and Stentering; Rotary Printing and Print Fixation; and continuous fabric washing, Bleaching, and mercerizing. This broad portfolio allows us to offer integrated solutions across different stages of textile production and to understand the complete production process rather than focusing on only one machine or application.

Another major strength is that Dilmenler has its own Dyehouse located on the same premises as MEGAM TEXTIL, where we carry out Knit Dyeing and AOP (All-Over Printing) applications. This facility is not only a production operation; it also serves as an important R&D and application-development platform. Our own Dyehouse lets us test our machines, processes, applications, and new technologies under real production conditions. More importantly, as a machine manufacturer, we directly experience the challenges that textile manufacturers face every day. This helps us understand what customers really need not only machine specifications, but also quality, productivity, energy efficiency, water consumption, process flexibility, reliability, and ease of operation.

In other words, we do not develop technology based only on what we believe the market needs. We learn from real production and customer requirements, and we use that experience to develop better and more practical machine solutions. At the same time, we focus strongly on the key priorities of today’s textile manufacturers:

  • Low energy consumption, low water consumption, consistent and high-quality production
  • High machine reliability and low failure rates
  • Strong technical and after-sales support
  • Remote access and remote service capabilities
  • High levels of automation, fast return on investment

We also place Digitalization, Reliability, and Partnership at the center of our business model. Through data collection, performance monitoring, OEE analysis, and remote support, we help our customers understand how their machines are performing and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

So, our strength is not simply the machine itself. It is the combination of a comprehensive technology portfolio, real production experience, R&D capability, customer understanding, digitalization, efficiency, reliability, and strong technical support.

Ultimately, what differentiates Dilmenler is that we do not just manufacture and sell machines—we understand the production processes behind them and work with our customers as a long-term technology partner.

Q. How do you see the Bangladesh market?

A. We see Bangladesh as one of the world’s most strategic textile production hubs. The country’s importance is no longer defined only by its production capacity and export volume; it is increasingly becoming a market driven by sustainability, efficiency, and technological transformation. One of the most important changes we see is that investment decisions are no longer based on machine price alone. Manufacturers are increasingly evaluating the complete cost of ownership, including energy consumption, water usage, quality consistency, automation, reliability, sustainability, service support, and digital integration. This creates significant opportunities for Dilmenler because our technology vision is closely aligned with the evolving needs of the Bangladeshi textile industry.

As part of our commitment to the Bangladesh market, Dilmenler has recently appointed TEXORA GLOBAL as its new agent and local partner in Bangladesh. This collaboration will help us strengthen our local presence, provide closer customer support, and respond more effectively to the market’s technical and service requirements. We believe a strong local partner is essential to building long-term relationships with textile manufacturers and ensuring customers receive not only advanced technology, but also the service and support they expect.

Our five core values are:

  • Energy Efficiency
  • Digitalization
  • Sustainability
  • Reliability
  • Partnership

We believe these factors will play an increasingly important role in determining the global competitiveness of Bangladesh’s textile industry. For Dilmenler, Bangladesh is therefore not simply an important sales market. It is a strategic market where we see strong potential for long-term technological cooperation and partnership.

Q. What is your upcoming strategy to support the Bangladesh textile industry through innovation?

A. Dilmenler’s future strategy is built around three core pillars: Sustainability, Digitalization, and Operational Efficiency. In the coming years, we will continue investing in advanced dyeing and finishing technologies to further reduce energy and water consumption while maintaining high, consistent production quality. At the same time, we will expand our machinery’s digital capabilities. Solutions such as real-time data collection, OEE monitoring, remote service, predictive maintenance, energy monitoring, and performance analytics will become increasingly important in helping factories reduce downtime and improve productivity. Our recent collaboration with TEXORA GLOBAL, our appointed agent in Bangladesh, is also an important part of this strategy. Through this partnership, we aim to strengthen our local customer support, improve communication with textile manufacturers, and bring Dilmenler’s latest technologies closer to the Bangladeshi market.

Our objective is to help textile manufacturers in Bangladesh achieve their most important business priorities:

  • Lower energy costs
  • Lower water consumption
  • Higher automation
  • Consistent quality
  • Reduced downtime
  • Improved productivity
  • Faster return on investment

Our vision is clear: “We do not just manufacture textile machinery; we develop technologies that improve our customers’ energy efficiency, help them achieve their sustainable production goals, and strengthen their competitiveness in the global textile industry.”

For this reason, we see Bangladesh not merely as an export market, but as a long-term strategic partner. Together with TEXORA GLOBAL, we are committed to building a stronger local presence and supporting the Bangladeshi textile industry with innovative, efficient, reliable, and sustainable technologies.
