Divine IT Limited Implements Customized Software for Uniform Accounting in Bangladesh’s Gas Sector

Divine IT Limited recently conducted a training program on the Uniform System of Accounts for the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission. The event was attended by Mr. M. Nurul Amin, Chairman of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission, Iqbal Ahmed Fakhrul Hasan, Managing Director, Divine IT Limited and Vice President (Finance), BASIS, Mr. M. Fazle Alam, Director of the Gas Division of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission, and Mr. Kamruzzaman (Deputy Director, Tariff). The purpose of this training was to enhance understanding and implementation of quality accounting processes in the gas sector of Bangladesh, which would help improve transparency and regulatory systems.

The Uniform System of Accounts of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission standardizes accounting processes for all licensed entities in the gas sector, including Petrobangla and its subsidiaries, and facilitates integrated financial reporting. By implementing the Uniform System of Accounts, the entities in the gas sector will achieve greater transparency in management and operations, simplify data collection and management, and provide a clear framework for dispute resolution, thereby protecting consumer interests.

Starting with the automation of Titas Gas in 2015, Divine IT Limited has established a strong position in significantly supporting companies in the gas sector of Bangladesh.

Training 01

With its experience in implementing automation, Divine IT Limited has developed and implemented a customized software system in line with the Uniform System of Accounts of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission. This software system helps automate data collection, accounting, and reporting processes for all entities in the gas sector. Additionally, it facilitates interdepartmental operations coordination and simplifies company financial reporting.

Moreover, Divine IT has provided training and support to ensure the implementation of the software system for all stakeholders. This initiative not only enhances regulatory systems but also helps make the gas sector in Bangladesh more transparent and well-regulated.
