Desk Report: Bangladesh based one the largest apparel manufacturing company Echotex Ltd (1.1 Mn SFT) achieved LEED Platinum certificate under LEED v4 EBOM with 90 Points. by USGBC.

Salim Akhter Khan, Director-Textile, Echotex Ltd; Redwan Chowdhury, Director, HR &Ethical trade, Echotex Ltd received the LEED certificate through Consultant.

“I feel super excited to share that, Today, Echotex Ltd, 1.1 Mn SFT, has achieved LEED Platinum. This is the largest Textiles campus in the world to achieve under LEED v4 EBOM with 90 Points. Our Garment building was previously LEED Platinum certified in the year 2017, said, Salim Akhter Khan, Director-Textile, Echotex Ltd

This achievement is the starting point to our target to be Net Zero Water & Net Zero Energy factory before 2040, added Salim Akhter Khan, Director-Textile, Echotex Ltd

Salim Akhter Khan, Director-Textile, Echotex Ltd said, I thank our Echotex management team, project team, LEED Consultant @innowellgroup, and @U.S. Green Building Council for their efforts towards re-engineering sustainability.

Echotex Ltd is  working for United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) targets to achieve “Responsible consumption and Production & Climate Action” on manufacturing sectors. Echotex is a vertical setup with knitting, dyeing, digital print, screen print, washing and garmenting facilities
