Saurer has proudly announced the signing of a major contract with KTE for Spinning and Weaving, one of Egypt’s leading spinning mills, during ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025. The agreement marks one of the first contracts concluded at the exhibition, underscoring Saurer’s strong position in global spinning innovation and its long-standing partnership with the Egyptian textile industry.
The signing ceremony took place at Saurer’s booth C301, Hall 3, where KTE confirmed its investment in Saurer’s latest Autospeed roving frame and Zinser ring-spinning machines, both renowned for their precision, productivity, and sustainable performance. The new installation will also include the BTS automation system, a state-of-the-art roving bobbin transport solution that enhances efficiency and minimizes manual handling in the spinning process.
Mr. Ali Nagy from ATAG Egypt said: “This collaboration reflects the growing synergy between Swiss-German engineering and Egypt’s fast-modernizing textile manufacturing sector.”

Showcasing Innovation at ITMA Asia Singapore
At the exhibition, Saurer presented its Zinser 51 ring-spinning machine, equipped with the newly developed FX Zpact compacting unit, demonstrating outstanding yarn quality and energy efficiency. During live demonstrations, the machine processed 100% cotton (Ne 40) at an impressive 27,000 rpm, highlighting the company’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of productivity while maintaining top fiber quality.
This combination of high-speed spinning and advanced compacting represents the next stage of innovation in smart spinning solutions, reducing waste and improving yarn consistency.
A Step Forward for Egypt’s Textile Modernization
KTE’s decision to invest in Saurer technology reflects a broader trend among Egyptian spinning companies to upgrade machinery, enhance automation, and adopt sustainable manufacturing practices. Egypt’s strategic location, skilled workforce, and growing export capacity make it a key textile hub linking Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
By integrating Saurer’s advanced ring-spinning and roving systems, KTE strengthens its competitiveness in fine cotton yarn production — aligning with Egypt’s national goals to modernize the textile sector and expand global trade.
