EVANTI: online clothing brand plans to open a physical store

EVANTI is a loungewear fashion brand and concern of Crony Group, a leading textiles conglomerate. The clothing brand is a product of over 28 years of experience in the field of fashion. Helmed by industry veterans, the brand was officially launched online in 2021.

During the pandemic, and stuck working from home, Crony Group founders, A.H. Aslam Sunny and Neela Hosna Ara and directors, Nafian Intasar and Nawshin Nawal were inspired to start a local clothing brand that focuses on quality and comfort. As Crony Group owns and operates composite textile factories such as Abanti Colour Tex Ltd and Crony Apparels Ltd, Nafian Intasar and Nawshin Nawal were able to experiment with fabric qualities and designs in the factory’s design & development department. Working closely for months with the conglomerate’s head of design, Karthik Mohanan eventually led to the creation of EVANTI.

“It was a collective family decision to make a loungewear brand for the domestic market. Since our factories have been manufacturing all types of knitwear for almost 30 years for a diverse range of buyers from Europe, North America, Australia and Japan, we have become experts in quality. We want to give local consumers, high-quality clothing that doesn’t shrink after a few washes”, said Nafian Intasar, Director, of Crony Group and CEO, EVANTI.

“Our collection is is western clothing comprised of  T-Shirts, Polos, Sweaters, Hoodies, Jackets, Casual pants, Sweat Suits, and Undergarments for both men and women”, Intasar continued.

“The pandemic has blurred the lines of what is considered strictly home wear. There is a demand for comfortable clothing that is versatile and durable, suitable for lounging, working, and running errands – styles that can do it all. That’s why we focus on the versatility of design and the quality of fabrics”, remarked Nawshin Nawal, Director, of Crony Group and CMO, EVANTI.

At Crony Group, we have our own design studio complete with designers and fabric experts. Our in-house designs and fabric qualities are continuously chosen by global brands for products such as Tom Tailor and Mango”, added Karthik Mohanan Head Of Design, Crony Group and Creative Director, EVANTI.

“Our brand is greatly driven by a burning passion for quality, artistic designs, comfort & price. At EVANTI, our fashion designers & graphic designers who design the clothes keep in mind the current local & global trends, techniques, seasons and so on. All of our fabric, after selection, is then sent to our Laboratories to get tested right to the last thread because we do not believe in making any compromises in our final product. Our fabric is run through three main tests – color fastness, fiber composition and shrinkage tests that are meticulously carried out. We make comfortable and multifunctional clothing.”, Mohanan continued.

EVANTI is focusing on e-commerce, promoting its products through social media with over 3000 followers on Facebook. However, they have found early success from their weekend-long pop-up stores at Nordic Club and International Recreational Club, garnering overwhelmingly positive responses from their customers. This led them to take the brand offline as well and open a flagship outlet in either Gulshan or Banani soon.

EVANTI

“We strive to connect with our customers and offer clothing that resonates and elevates. Once we have achieved a notable brand presence domestically, we intend to establish EVANTI as a global fashion brand,” said Nawshin Nawal.

EVANTI’s goal is to become a brand renowned for innovative style, quality and comfort, your go-to brand in Bangladesh.

Crony Group is also diversifying into the restaurant industry. “Crony Group’s business philosophy is to offer the highest quality product or service in all our companies. We are opening two high-end restaurants in north Gulshan next year and plan to take the industry by storm”, remarked Nafian Intasar.
