Evince Textiles has adopted a completely R&D based industry operation and sustainable measures in its factories. The unit is pioneer in producing Yarn dyed Shirtings in Bangladesh and have a Weaving plant, a Yarn dyeing plant, Finishing unit and Fully Functional Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) in its premises. They also have a Denim dyeing unit in this visit, the Textile Focus team covered the non-denim i.e. Yarn dyed Shirtings section of the unit only.

The Weaving plant has 198 modern Airjet and Rapier looms producing 65000 yards of woven fabrics every day including Yarn dyed Shirtings & Denim fabrics. The Yarn dyed Shirting fabrics include Plain, twill, Chambray, Filafils, dobby designs, double cloths & seersucker fabrics with variety of finishes like Soft Finish, Peach & Brushed. Evince Textiles Ltd have leading certifications like Oeko Tex Standard 100 (conventional & Organic), GOTS ,OCS, RCS, GRS. They are working aggressively for sustainability Programs related to ZDHC, Supplier to Zero, Clean By Design, WaSaTex, PIE & Expert Energy Efficiency Program (EEE). Evince Textiles Ltd is committed to reduce their Water usage, 100% usage of ZDHC Chemicals, Green House Gases (GHG) Reduction & reduce Carbon Intensity. The factory is also an example in terms of quality control. They ensure more than 99% of their production is fault-free and the fabric wastage is minimal. Equipped with full-fledged continuous dyeing unit, set up with brand new European machinery. They cover wide range of colors and use the most energy efficient technologies in their dyeing section. To treat the effluent, they have an operational biological ETP with a treatment capacity of 250 cubic meter per hour. This is the most-advanced MBR ETP project in Bangladesh with membrane Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology.

One unique feature of their operation is the management audit board in every key production section to portray all the important and emergency information regarding production, maintenance, raw material supply, frequently occurring faults, production status etc. tagging all the concerned personnel. This enables all the problems to be visible and actions are taken promptly.
They also undertake unique HR practices which is not common in other factories. HR officers’ jobs are also floor oriented. There is a HR help desk in every floor so that any employee can share their and problems and accomplish HR processes seamlessly. They have the practice of analyzing worker injuries and reach their root cause analysis so that it is completely prevented.
Evince Textiles Ltd has successfully maintained a Harmonious & Positive work culture in their company due to many good & encouraging welfare practices. A positive point to mention here is that the company has a very low worker turnover rate. They are providing Medical Insurance, inhouse Medical services and they have contracts with local hospitals for emergency treatment. Company also provides Profit sharing to its employees and also provides Service benefits as per Labor Law.
They have a Workers Welfare Committee comprised of elected male & female members who meet every month for addressing the issues faced by workers. Also, any good ideas from the Welfare Team are welcomed. The company is always working towards the best interest of it’s employees.
