The Ex-Students Association of Tangail Textile Institute (ESATTI) organized a Grand Reunion & its 16 Founding Anniversary at campus premises, Tangail Sadar, Tangail on December 27.
Mr. ANM Tariqul Islam, Joint Secretary ranked Director (Administration & Finance), Department of Textiles, Ministry of Textile s & Jute was present as Chief Guest while Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Mufazzal Hossain, former Principal & Ex-Director of Department of Textiles were present as Special Guest.
Engr. Raju Ahamed inaugurated the event in the morning. After that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of ESATTI was held in the campus auditorium. The AGM was presided over by Engr. Shamim Akand while Shanjoy Saha (Joint Secretary) shared the whole year activities & Ariful Islam described the financial details in front of life members. ESATTI Trust also conducted the AGM during that time.
Around 200 former students of different batches gathered on the Textile Institute Tangail campus premises yesterday amid huge enthusiasm and joy in their reunion while 350 existing students also participated.
Speaking as the special guest, the former Director of Department of Textiles Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Mofazzal Hossain said he is very glad to come again to his earlier working place where he played a role as Principal.
The event was attended by Engr. Arifur Rahman Siddique who is both the founding President and current President of ESATTI Trust. Members of ESATTI’s advisory council, senior leaders, various founding members, past presidents, and general secretaries of ESATTI’s various committees, as well as current committee members were present there.
At one stage of the program, the new committee members for the ESATTI Executive Committee 2024-26 were announced. Engr. Shohag Sen was selected as the president, Engr. Shajib Ahammed was selected as secretary general, and Engr. Habibur Rahman was selected as organizing secretary based on everyone’s opinion.
The ESATTI Grand Reunion provided a great chance for alumni to reconnect with their peers, teachers, and mentors. It celebrated the memories, fellowship, and achievements that have made ESATTI what it is today and demonstrated the ESATTI community’s commitment to supporting and contributing to the development of the textile sector in Bangladesh.
