The country’s industrial sector has turned around after the impact of the Covid pandemic, but now it faces an energy crisis. The energy crisis has not only reduced production in the industrial sector added Shawpna Bhowmick.
FICCI is representing around 21 sectors in Bangladesh. As a Regional head of M&S for Bangladesh and India, M&S Sourcing from Bangladesh around 54 percent whereas M&S India is sourcing from Bangladesh around 50 percent and We have to plan it double added Shwapna Bhowmick.
We are going to MMF fibre-based garments, so we need a one-stop solution for sourcing from Bangladesh, she added.
In this crisis moment, we need an alternative energy source to continue our industrial production.
