BGMEA President Faruque Hassan and Vice President Miran Ali met Kai Hughes, Executive Director of the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) in Washington D.C. on September 20. They had discussion different issues including predictability of current cotton price and the factors affecting the price.
They also talked about greater collaboration between BGMEA and ICAC in a number of areas including transparency and traceability in the supply chain. BGMEA President Faruque Hassan emphasized on ensuring fair cotton price.
