The multi-day forum convened emerging changemakers, policymakers, and industry experts to advance the UN 2030 Agenda, with a special session hosted at the UN Headquarters in Bangkok. Discussions centered on driving collective action through innovation, partnerships, and leadership to accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Representing Fakir Fashion Limited, Md. Atiqul Islam Apu, Head of Compliance and Sustainability, and Mohammad Shah Alam, Head of Compliance and Sustainability, Epyllion Group, attended as key delegates from Bangladesh’s apparel sector. Both highlighted how the nation’s ready-made garment (RMG) industry is aligning with global sustainability goals—championing responsible production, decent work, climate action, and partnerships for impact.

“Standing on that global platform and sharing Bangladesh’s sustainable journey was both humbling and powerful. Sustainability today isn’t just a choice—it’s a shared responsibility that defines the future of our work,” said Md. Atiqul Islam Apu.

“We believe collaboration among global partners, governments, and industries is essential to build a sustainable and inclusive future for the next generations,” said Mohammad Shah Alam.

Delegates from every continent embraced their cultural heritage through traditional attire, with the Bangladesh team proudly reflecting the country’s vibrance and unity. Sessions led by UN representatives and sustainability experts, including Ms. Preeyanon Antica, deepened participants’ understanding of strategic leadership, cross-sector collaboration, and actionable sustainability frameworks.

The participation of Fakir Fashion Limited and Epyllion Group reaffirmed Bangladesh’s growing role in shaping a future where profitability coexists with purpose—anchored in the balance of people, planet, and progress. A proud milestone for Bangladesh, as its apparel leaders continue to inspire global audiences through responsible innovation and sustainable transformation.
