Fakir Fashion Ltd receives Green Factory Award 2025 for sustainable industrial practices

Bangladesh based one of the leading RMG manufacturer Fakir Fashion Ltd has been honoured with the prestigious Green Factory Award 2025 in recognition of its commitment to environmentally sustainable industrial practices.

The company received the award under the RMG category, as part of the Ministry of Labour and Employment’s ‘Green Factory Award Policy 2020’. A total of 30 factories across 16 sectors were recognised this year for their efforts in promoting eco-friendly operations.

Fakir Kamruzzaman Nahid, Managing Director of Fakir Fashion and Vice President of BKMEA accepted the award at a formal ceremony held on Tuesday (June 24) at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital.

Brigadier General (Retd) Dr M Sakhawat Hossain, Adviser to the Ministry of Labour and Employment and the Ministry of Shipping, attended the event as the chief guest. Adilur Rahman Khan, Adviser to the Ministry of Industries and the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, was also present as the special guest.
