Reaffirming its commitment to sustainable growth and workforce development, Fakir Knitwears Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CARE Bangladesh under the “Oporajita Phase II: Collective Impact on the Future of Work in Bangladesh” initiative. Supported by the H&M Foundation and coordinated by The Asia Foundation, the initiative aims to prepare Bangladesh’s Ready-Made Garment (RMG) sector for the evolving demands of automation and industry transformation.
The MoU was signed on behalf of Fakir Knitwears Ltd. by Mr. Fakir Mashfiquzzaman Fabi, Director, reflecting the organization’s strategic commitment to empowering women workers through upskilling, reskilling, and future-focused capacity development. The partnership will help equip women employees with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing industrial environment while promoting a more inclusive and resilient workforce.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives from CARE Bangladesh and the leadership team of Fakir Knitwears Ltd., including Mr. Sumon Kante Singha, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), whose leadership continues to drive people-centric initiatives that strengthen organizational capability and support sustainable business growth.
