Faruque Hassan highlights AI, sustainability, innovation, and role of young leaders in RMG Sector at BAYLA Future Summit

BAYLA Future Summit 2026 | Shaping the Future of Bangladesh’s Apparel & Textile Industry
Mr. Faruque Hassan — Managing Director of Giant Group, Bangladesh, Honorable Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT), and Former President of Brand BGMEA — attended the BAYLA Future Summit 2026 as the Special Guest and delivered an inspiring keynote address on the future transformation of Bangladesh’s apparel and textile industry at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden in Dhaka

In his speech, Mr. Faruque Hassan emphasized the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI), sustainability, innovation, and the vital role of young leaders in shaping the next chapter of Bangladesh’s apparel sector. He highlighted how technology adoption, responsible manufacturing, and leadership development will be key drivers of future competitiveness and sustainable growth.

Organized by the Bangladesh Apparel Youth Leaders Association (BAYLA), the summit brought together policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and emerging professionals to discuss innovation, leadership, technology adoption, and the future competitiveness of Bangladesh’s apparel industry.

The successful organization of the summit was led by Mr. Abrar Sayem, President, BAYLA, and Mr. Hasin Arman, First Vice President, BAYLA, and Event Director of BAYLA Future Summit & BAYLA Future Leaders 2026, along with the dedicated support of other BAYLA Board Members. The session was also attended by Md. Al Shahriar Ahmed, Senior Vice President, BAYLA, and President, BGAPMEA, together with fellow board members and industry stakeholders.

The summit served as a dynamic platform for connecting experienced industry leaders with the next generation of professionals, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a shared vision for a smarter, greener, and more globally competitive apparel industry for Bangladesh
