Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the apex trade organization of the country, hosted an Iftar and Doa mahfil for its general body members at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel in the capital on Monday. FBCCI’s general body members as well as the country’s top businessmen attended the iftar mahfil.
Commenting on the occasion, FBCCI President said, “The Iftar Mahfil is a special opportunity for us to come together, break bread, and celebrate the spirit of Ramadan. We are pleased that this event served as a platform to foster meaningful relationships among our members and promote a sense of unity and solidarity within the business community.”
While speaking on Zakat, the FBCCI he said, “We distribute a particular portion of our income to the underprivileged people of our community through zakat. It would be better if we can make a person or family self-employed through zakat”.
Earlier in his welcoming speech FBCCI Senior Vice President Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu requested the country’s businessmen to abstain from making extra profits from the commodities that have special demands during Ramadan.
The business leaders prayed for the country’s economic development and the peace, and welfare of its people.
