The meeting was attended virtually by Clare Moore, Marketing Manager SDC, UK and Yogesh Gaikwad, Director SDC International (UK). Discussions focused on the mission of SDC, strategies for expanding membership in Bangladesh, and initiatives to enhance the society’s reach within the local textile industry.

During the meeting, the SDC Bangladesh Region board was officially constituted, with the following appointments
- Chairman: Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Acting Vice-Chancellor of BUFT
- Secretary: Dr. Mohammad Tajul Islam, FSDC and Associate Professor at AUST
- Treasurer: Afsana Ferdousi, Country Coordinator for the SDC International Design Competition in Bangladesh and the Bronze Medallist of SDC.
Additionally, Md. Amanur Rahman, Managing Director of Dysin Group, was elected as Chief Adviser to the board. The general members include:
- Prof. Dr. Engr. Mohammed Rubaiyat Chowdhury, Dean of the Faculty of Apparel Studies (FAS), BUFT
- Abdullah Al Mahmud, General Manager of Marketing, Dysin Group
- Sarmily Sarker, Head of the Fashion Studies Department, BUFT
- Md. Abdullahil Mahmud, General Manager of Quality Assurance, A&E Bangladesh Ltd
- Md. Fakhrul Islam, CCOL ASDC (SDC UK Nominee on SDC Bangladesh Board)
- Ms Muna Naida Sheikh, Design Manager at FCI (BD) Ltd
Expressing his dedication to the industry, Md. Amanur Rahman emphasized the board’s commitment to disseminating knowledge for the betterment of the community. Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, the newly appointed Chairman, congratulated the board members and extended his gratitude for their support, expressing optimism for expanding membership and fostering a collaborative knowledge-sharing platform within the sector.
