The 23rd edition of the renowned Textile Series of Exhibitions began today at the Bangladesh China Friendship Exhibition Centre in Dhaka. Organized by CEMS-Global USA, a leading international exhibition and convention organizer, this four-day event brings together industry players from around the world to showcase innovations and solutions in textile machinery, yarn, fabrics, apparel, trims, chemicals, and more.
The event was inaugurated by Nasreen Jahan, Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, who attended as the chief guest. In her opening remarks, she emphasized the importance of such exhibitions as catalysts for Bangladesh’s burgeoning textile sector, which continues to play a critical role in the global supply chain. “This event not only showcases cutting-edge technologies and products but also fosters collaboration and networking, providing foreign companies a unique gateway to tap into Bangladesh’s dynamic textile and garment manufacturing market,” she stated.
The series of exhibitions serves as a comprehensive platform for manufacturers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to engage, explore potential partnerships, and stay informed on the latest industry trends. Meherun N Islam, President and Group Managing Director of CEMS-Global USA and Asia-Pacific, highlighted the significance of this year’s exhibitions. “These fairs unite global manufacturers and suppliers, offering them unparalleled opportunities to explore partnerships, access new markets, and stay updated on the innovations reshaping the global textile and apparel industry,” she remarked.

Also attending the ceremony were notable figures from Bangladesh’s textile sector, including Md Anwar Hossain, Vice-Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau; Md Shahidul Islam, Director General of the Department of Textiles; Shah Mohammad Mahboob, Executive Member (Additional Secretary) of Marketing and Communication at Bangladesh Investment Development Authority; and Mohammad Hatem, President of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association.
