France-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Announces New Executive Committee for 2026–2028

The France-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFB) has announced its newly elected Executive Committee for the 2026–2028 term, reinforcing its commitment to advancing bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation between France and Bangladesh.

The newly elected Executive Committee will be led by Dr. Md. Ershad Hussain Rana, Chairman & CEO of Dawn Group, as President. Md. Jahangir Alam Sarker, CPA, Managing Director & CEO of 3i Logistics Group, has been elected as Vice President. M. A. Reaz, Director, Business Development of Expo Holdings (BD) Ltd., as Vice President and Farzana Chowdhury, Managing Director of Abista FS Ltd., will serve as Treasurer.

The Chamber’s 17-member Board comprises prominent business leaders representing diverse sectors of the economy, reflecting CCIFB’s mission to strengthen commercial engagement and foster strategic partnerships between the private sectors of France and Bangladesh.

The elected Directors are:

  3. Badria Anis, Director Marketing, Bangladesh Exports Ltd.
  4. Ahmed Saifuddin Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO, Bangladesh General Insurance Company Ltd.
  5. Arif Rahman, Managing Director, Bengal Airlift Ltd.
  6. Brig. Gen. Sharif Aziz, PSC (Retd.), Managing Director, Elite Security Services Ltd.
  7. Md. Asadul Islam, Managing Director, Fariha Knit Tex Ltd.
  8. S. M. Rahman, Managing Director, Novo Cargo Services Ltd.
  9. Mohammad Rashed, Chief Executive Officer, Pacific Design & Sourcing
  10. S. A. Bahadur, President & Chief Executive Officer, Radiant Corporation
  11. Salimul Haque Essa, Managing Director, Tasho Enterprises Ltd.
  12. Mahmodul Islam Parvez, Managing Director, Uni-Global Business Ltd.
  13. Sana Sattar, Executive Director, Utah Knitting & Dyeing Ltd.

The formal Board Transition Ceremony was held on Thursday, 25 June 2026, following the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) at The Beast, Level 26, Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan-2, Dhaka-1212. The ceremony marked the official transfer of responsibilities to the newly elected leadership team and reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to advancing the shared economic interests of France and Bangladesh.

The newly elected Executive Committee outlined a forward-looking agenda focused on deepening bilateral economic engagement, promoting trade and investment opportunities, strengthening business-to-business collaboration, and enhancing policy advocacy in support of a more competitive and investment-friendly business environment. The Committee also emphasized the importance of expanding member engagement, empowering sector-specific working groups, and creating greater value for stakeholders through meaningful partnerships and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Under the new leadership, CCIFB will continue to serve as a dynamic platform for fostering dialogue between businesses, policymakers, investors, and development partners, while supporting initiatives that contribute to sustainable economic growth and stronger commercial ties between the two countries.

The ceremony concluded with a networking luncheon attended by Chamber members, business leaders, diplomats, and distinguished guests, providing an opportunity to celebrate the Chamber’s achievements and reaffirm its role in strengthening France-Bangladesh economic relations.
