Garmentech Chittagong held with huge response!

Port city Chittagong is surrounded a lot of textile industries. International trade exhibition organizer ASK Trade & Exhibition Pvt Ltd. organized for the first time Garmentech exhibition in Chittagong at GEC Convention Center, Chittagong from 13-15 September, 2017. Nearly 100 companies from Bangladesh and abroad participated to showcase apparel machinery, yarn & fabric, garment accessories and support services.

Mr. Moinuddin Ahmed Mintu, 1st Vice President, BGMEA & Director- Chittagong Chamber of Commerce was present as chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the exhibition. Mr. Shahid Uddin Ahmed Azad, Director BGMEA & Managing Director, H&W Apparel Ltd.; Mr. Abdul Kader Khan, President BGAPMEA; Mr. Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan, Director, ASK Trade and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd., were present as special guest.

Mr. Mintu thanked the organizer for organizing such exhibition on garment machineries, yarn and fabric for the first time in Chittagong. He requested the organizer to organize the exhibition in every year. Mr. Azad appreciated the organizer to the exhibition. He told that exhibitions are happening in Dhaka and most of the time professionals from Chittagong can’t manage time to visit the exhibitions in Dhaka. From this exhibition textile professionals from Chittagong will be benefited.

According to the organizer nearly 100 companies from Bangladesh and overseas participated in the exhibition including an International pavilion of Yarn & Fabric manufacturers from China along with participates in Garment Accessories and Support Services. Being the port city Chittagong is well placed to benefit from the expansion of RMG sector. It is set to grow both with expansion and establishment of new factories and the announcement of numerous Economic Zones by the government across the country including in this region is expected to accelerate the growth of the RMG sector. Wide verities of sewing machines for woven and knit and related spares, offset, thermal, screen, Sublimation Printing for garment, textile and Home Textile Printing, Boiler, Laundry, Finishing, Hydro Extractor, Cutting, Spreader, Plotter, CAD/CAM software, ERP solution, etc. were showed at the exhibition.

Yarn for knitted, woven fabric, Denim, Poplin, Knitted Denim, Sweater, Taffeta, Corduroy, Pain, Dyed variety and pocketing fabric, Sewing Thread, Bags, Buttons, Bar Code Printer, Woven label, Twill Tape, Elastic Tape, PU Leather, Compressors were also showcased.

Bangladesh the 2nd largest RMG exporter in the world is moving towards the target of achieving USD $50 Billion in export. Productivity, Compliance, Safety, Value-addition are the pressing concerns of the RMG makers. Technology always played its part in addressing these concerns. There is a wrong opinion that technology means automation substituting workers, whereas in reality technology providers offer solutions to increase productivity, quality, and help in producing high quality garments which require precision, thus earning more for the same effort put tin. “Garmentech Chittagong 2017will go a long way in helping those entrepreneurs who are looking to set up new factories and expand, to source all their need under one roof”, informed Mr. Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan, Director, ASK Trade and Exhibition Pvt Ltd. Ask Trade and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd. has been organizing the popular GRAMENTECH Bangladesh tradeshows for the last 16 years in Dhaka. This is the first time they organized exhibition in Chittagong and the organizer declared that Garmentech Chittagong 2018 will be held on July 2018.
