Desk Report: The Grand Reunion 2023 of the Textile Engineers Alumni Association of Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (Duet) was held with huge enthusiasm among the former students on the university campus on Friday.
Duet vice chancellor Prof Dr Habibur Rahman inaugurated the event by releasing balloons in the air at the central playground of Duet in the morning. Engr. Tushar K. Paul, Convener, AATED, DUET chaired the grand reunion program.
A large number of former students along with students gathered on the Duet campus on the occasion.
Prof. Dr Mohammad Abdur Rashid, Pro-VC of DUET, Duet student welfare Director, Prof Dr Md.Nazrul Islam, Prof. Dr Md.Abdus Shahid, former dept head of TED, DUET; Prof. Dr Mohammad Zakaria, Head Dept of Textile Engineering DUET; Engr. Fakhrul Haider Chowdhury, President, of DUET Central Alumni Association gave the speech. The speakers said, “We all should work for the development of academic activities of Duet so that the university can secure a good position in the world university ranking.”
In the afternoon session, the alumni shared their job market experiences with the current students of the department. The mega program ended with networking with alumni members. This event was sponsored by Denim Solution Ltd and Textile Focus was the media partner.
