Contributing to this progress is Mahendra Jayalath, CEO of EnergySolve International, whose expertise has supported some of the region’s leading green building projects. Through integrated MEP engineering, energy auditing, and LEED, EDGE, and ESG consultancy, EnergySolve helps clients improve sustainability, operational efficiency, and environmental performance.
Mahendra Jayalath began his career at the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), leading a World Bank-funded energy efficiency project before working with USAID on renewable energy and green building initiatives across South Asia. Following the 2004 tsunami, he introduced sustainable building practices to Sri Lanka and led some of the region’s earliest LEED-certified projects, including the first green factory with the Brandix Group. This experience led to the establishment of EnergySolve International, which today delivers integrated MEP engineering, energy efficiency, and green building solutions where sustainability is built into the design—not added as an afterthought.
