The keynote session “Innovations for the Spinning Industry”, was delivered by Mr. Gerrerd R. Taylor, Senior Sales Manager, East Asia, (Spinning Components), Groz-Beckert. His insightful presentation covered the company’s newest solutions designed to enhance productivity, sustainability, and efficiency in spinning processes. He outlined Groz-Beckert’s integrated approach that combines precision engineering, robust R&D, and customer-centric service. Taylor pointed out that the company reinvests nearly 5% of its annual turnover into research and development, supported by world-class infrastructure that includes in-house laboratories and R&D facilities across three continents. Gerred Taylor also highlighted the Groz-Beckert Academy, which offers structured training programs to upskill customers’ technical teams.

He talked about CMF (Cylinder Maintenance Free) cylinder wire, which eliminates the need for periodic grinding. Originally introduced at ITMA Barcelona, this wire offers significantly improved fiber transfer efficiency, with field results showing up to 30% fewer yarn imperfections and up to 15% longer lifetime compared to conventional wires. The technology’s performance was validated with specific data from ring yarn carded Ne30 production, demonstrating measurable improvements in IPI (Imperfection Index) values.

The seminar also introduced the next generation G Series of stationary flats, which features newly designed tooth geometry and optimized alignment. These enhancements are aimed at minimizing fiber loading and improving the consistency of the carding process throughout the component’s life cycle.

Attendees gained exclusive insights into cutting-edge technology and applications shaping the future of textile manufacturing.

The seminar also featured a compelling customer testimonial, during which esteemed industry partners shared their experiences with Groz-Beckert solutions and the tangible improvements observed in their production environments. Abul Bashar, Chief Operating Officer of SM Spinning; Shahid Raihan, DGM of Square Textiles; Enamul Huq, Director (Operations) of Bengal NFK Textiles shared their experience and feedback on using Groz-Beckert products and services.
