
On 11 October 2025, HIKARI officially launched the new generation of intelligent sewing machine, the which uses AI and other technologies to boost production efficiency. The official launched in Dhaka held a Radisson hotel where 500 RMG Factory representatives’ experts were present.
At the event, Devin Deng, Global Business Director of Hikari said his welcome note, China’s one of the leading sewing machine manufacturers, Hikari new generation sewing machine can change Bangladesh’s garment industry. Bangladesh is in a good position in the clothing sector. Hikari’s intelligent state-of-the-art sewing machines will improve this position by saving production time. Besides, it will help to reduce other costs including electricity, he added.
During the machinery presentation from Hikari Global sales team, they said, Hikari, we provide a wide range of products, including lockstitch sewing machine, overlock sewing machine, interlock sewing machine, multi needle sewing machine. In the last CISMA Expo, Hikari showcased 56 sets of Sewing machines where 39 set among them are new products.

BGMEA Director Mohammad Sohel said his speech, Hikari team need to provide a less price, ai based technology for SME apparel. Around 500 + SME apparel manufacturing unit in Bangladesh, he added.
