Huntsman Corporation announced that it will showcase high-performance products designed to address automotive challenges at the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Automotive Composites Conference & Exhibition (ACCE), Sept. 6-8, at the Diamond Banquet & Conference Center at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Mich.
At booths 14 and 15, Huntsman’s Advanced Materials and Polyurethanes divisions will exhibit light-weight automotive composite products based on Huntsman’s ARALDITE®, RIMLINE® and VITROX® technologies. These solutions effectively enable automotive OEMs to reduce vehicle weight; speed production of parts and increase fuel efficiency, in vehicles where they are used.
Huntsman will be displaying its low viscosity, fast cure VITROX® and RIMLINE® resins, which are used for automotive parts requiring high strength and toughness, and its ARALDITE® liquid compression molding system, which is used to reduce part processing times and production cycles.
“We are thrilled to be part of this year’s conference and look forward to showcasing our composite technologies and custom-based solutions with the world’s leading automotive experts,” said George Toskey, Automotive Industry Manager, Huntsman Polyurethanes. “Attendees are encouraged to stop by our booth to talk with our experts and learn more about the award winning parts based on our product lines.”
The mission of the SPE ACCE – jointly hosted by the Composites and Automotive Divisions of SPE – is to inform and update the automotive industry about the increasing significance of thermoset and thermoplastic composites in passenger vehicles, light trucks and other modes of ground transportation.
