IDFL officially launches a new lab & testing institute in Dhaka

International Down and Feather Laboratory & Institute (IDFL), one of the world’s leading testing services companies – founded in 1978, officially inaugurated a new lab and testing Institute in Dhaka on 2 August at hotel Radisson in the capital. More than 200 professionals from Textile mills and certification bodies were at the grand opening ceremony.

Wilf Lieber, CEO of IDFL; James Moore, Asia, CEO, IDFL; Jef Driks, USFCSO, Gloria Jharna Sarkar MP; Tyler Bak, MD, South Asia, IDFL, Alliance Feather; Isaac Hawlader, Manager, Office & Lab, IDFL Bangladesh inaugurated testing Institute by cutting the ribbon.IDFL has been offering services such as supply chain audits/certification programs like TE, GOTS, and OBP for over a year and throughout COVID. The company is very interested in getting to know clients and working with them to provide the area’s fastest, most efficient, and most reliable services. IDFL also helps authorize specs, R&D work, sample collections, and more.

After over 40 years of down and feather testing, IDFL is a most experienced laboratory for testing down and feather used as fill materials in pillows, bedding, apparel, and other products. IDFL has lab and testing operations in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA; Braunfeld, Switzerland; Hangzhou; China; Taipei; Taiwan; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; and Istanbul, Turkey along with other audit operations in over 45 countries. IDFL performs about 20,000 tests annually for retailer clients like IKEA, Adidas, Columbia, and various government departments for import and export and is a subcontractor for other third-party laboratories.

In this grand opening ceremony, IDFL provides audit certificates to some apparel manufacturing units.
