IN Button is an upcoming project that will soon be launched as one of the largest metal accessories manufacturers in Bangladesh

IN Button Ltd., the sister company of D&J Corporation Limited, China, is committed to advancing sustainability in the fashion accessories industry. Specializing in eco-friendly garment buttons and trims, the company integrates green materials and low-impact manufacturing processes to reduce its environmental footprint. With a strong belief in responsible innovation, IN Button promotes circular practices, ethical sourcing, and energy efficiency across its operations.

In a conversation with Mohammad Abdur Rouf, CEO of IN Button Ltd. the sister company of D&J Corporation Limited, China. Mr. Rouf shared the sustainable journey of this globally reputed garment accessories company.

Q. Could you please share with us the current scenario of the Accessories and Trims business from a Bangladesh perspective?

A. Bangladesh’s accessories and trims sector is growing steadily alongside the readymade garment industry. With increasing export orders, brands are focusing more on quality, sustainability, compliance, and shorter lead times. Local manufacturers are now moving toward higher-value products, automation, and eco-friendly production to meet international buyer requirements. The demand for metal accessories in particular is rising due to premium garment segments and global fashion trends.

Q. Please share with us the latest project of IN Button?

A. IN Button is an upcoming project that will soon be launched as one of the largest metal accessories manufacturers in Bangladesh. The company is a subsidiary of D&J Corporation, a China-invested organization with extensive global experience in metal accessories production and technology transfer. This project is being developed with a strong emphasis on sustainability, innovation, and international compliance.

IN Button is proceeding toward LEED certification and is adopting a zero-waste and zero-energy strategy, integrating energy-efficient machinery, responsible resource management, and environmentally friendly production processes.

IN Button is designed as a customer-oriented, one-stop solution for metal accessories, offering end-to-end services from product development and sampling to bulk production and quality assurance. By combining advanced technology, skilled manpower, and strict quality control systems, the project aims to meet the evolving demands of global apparel brands. Through this initiative, IN Button seeks to set new benchmarks in product quality, sustainable manufacturing, operational excellence, and customer service, while also contributing to employment generation, skill development, and the overall growth of Bangladesh’s accessories industry.

Q. What type of products will you manufacture and how many employment opportunities will be created?

A. IN Button will manufacture all types of metal buttons, serving a wide range of garment categories and buyer requirements. To ensure high quality and large-scale production, we will use advanced machinery along with selected robotic machines, which will help us achieve efficient, consistent, and high-volume manufacturing.

Once fully operational, the project will create employment opportunities for around 1000 employees, supporting both skilled and semi-skilled workers. In addition, we have already hired a dedicated marketing team to focus on branding, market development, and customer engagement, ensuring strong visibility and positioning of IN Button in the market.

Q. What challenges are you currently facing in setting up the new unit?

A. So far, we have not faced any major challenges in setting up the new unit. There is some labor shortage, which is a common issue across the industry, but it is manageable. Overall, the project is progressing smoothly, and we are planning to launch by April.

Q. How do you see the Bangladesh market for IN Button?

A. The Bangladesh market is highly promising for IN Button, mainly due to the continuous growth of the readymade garment industry and the increasing focus on quality, compliance, and sustainability by global buyers. As brands demand shorter lead times, consistent quality, and environmentally responsible production, the need for reliable local metal accessories manufacturers is stronger than ever.

Bangladesh is also progressing rapidly toward backward linkage development, with local sourcing of accessories becoming a key priority to reduce dependency on imports and improve overall supply-chain efficiency. This creates a significant opportunity for IN Button to serve both export-oriented garment factories and international buyers operating in Bangladesh.

Beyond the local market, IN Button is building a strong global marketing network, enabling direct exports to all major garment-manufacturing countries worldwide. Supported by advanced and robotic machinery, innovative product development, and a sustainable manufacturing model, we aim to compete with the top global metal accessories manufacturers.

Through continuous innovation, sustainability leadership, and advanced technology, IN Button seeks not only to strengthen Bangladesh’s position in the global accessories market but also to establish itself as a trusted, long-term partner for international brands, delivering world-class quality and service while maintaining global standards.
