As a part of the concatenated activities towards Sustainability, TEAM Group pledges to contribute towards Sustainable Communities as a part of their Sustainability Vision 2030. Contributing in SDG 11 stated ‘Sustainable Cities and Communities’, 4A Yarn Dyeing Ltd. A Facility of TEAM Group is presenting an equipped Computer lab to the Haji Piyar Ali Model School, Ashulia.
This collaborative approach marks a momentous celebration held at the premises of Haji Piyar Ali Model School on 28th November, 2023. The aim is to enhance education quality, imbed better skills, and improve community with a focus on fostering development not only within factories, but towards community at large.
The program began at 12:00PM and ended with the inauguration of the new equipped computer lab around 1:00 PM. The founder of the school, Mr. Abu Hanif expressed his heartfelt gratitude for this present as well as the series of positive externalities the establishment of 4A has brought over years (Job creation, development of roads, community build up and so on) with expectation of opportunities in the future for working at the business units of Team Group. The respected DMD Abdullah Hil Nakib reminisced the days of the area around 4A, when 4A emerged as the only industrial establishment along with the transformation till today. Respected MD Abdullah Hil Rakib said’ “As a responsible corporate entity, this is our responsibility to work for the betterment of the factory and the adjacent communities. The handing over of the computer lab today is the continuation of that effort. We want to continue the support even at a greater scale, we would provide ToT for capacity building of teachers, infrastructure support if required and scholarship for bright students. We pledge to build the capacity of the students of this school to work at 4A in future”. In his speech, the MD requested the students of the school titling them as future leader to take the custodianship of the betterment of the system, environment purification to keep the journey towards sustainability moving.
TEAM group envisages to continue its effort towards sustainability in a comprehensive manner. This act of presenting equipped computer lab indicates the commitment of the Group to Sustainability to a broader scale.
The inauguration event and celebration at the school was commemorated with the presence of Abdullah Hil Rakib, Managing Director of TEAM Group, Abdullah Hil Nakib, Deputy Managing Director of TEAM Group, Md. Zahedul Hoque, Executive Director of 4A yarn Dyeing, Md. Noor-E-Saifullah Foisal, Head of Admin, along with the high officials of TEAM Group. The founder of the school Mr. Abu Hanif and the Assistant Headmaster of the School Mst. Mosallema Khatun, governing body members of the school along with respected citizens of the locality was present in the event.
