Desk Report: The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) paid a courtesy call with the BKMEA leaders. BKMEA Executive President Mohammad Hatem and Vice President Fazlee Shamim Ehsan represented the country’s knitwear sector in the courtesy meeting. It is held at the BKMEA Dhaka office on 3 September 2022. On the other side, The General Secretary of CMAI and Chairman of the Sub Committee of CMAI Fab Show Navin Sainani, and the Chief Mentor of CMAI Mr. Rahul Mehta were present at the meeting.
Various issues were discussed including the current status and future plans of the India-Bangladesh RMG sector, especially the knitwear sector In the meeting. The leaders also held an important discussion on how to work together to collect fair prices from the buyers through joint bargaining with the organizations related to the garment sector of the two countries. At the same time, the members of the Indian delegation invited BKMEA to participate in the ‘Fabrics Accessories and Beyond – The CMAI Fab Show’ to be held in Mumbai, India from 19 to 21 September 2022.
