Forty-one students from the Department of Apparel Manufacturing & Technology (Batch 231_1) participated in an educational industrial visit to the Auko-Tex Group factory on 20 December 2025, marking another important step in connecting academic learning with real-world industry practice.

The visit was organized to bridge the gap between classroom-based theoretical knowledge and practical industrial operations, offering students a comprehensive “fiber-to-fashion” understanding of the apparel production process.
During the visit, students observed several key stages of textile and garment manufacturing. They gained insights into the dyeing process, learning how fabrics are treated to achieve consistent and high-quality coloration. The visit to the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) highlighted the factory’s commitment to sustainability and responsible waste management. In the designing section, students explored the use of modern CAD/CAM technologies for pattern development, while the garment manufacturing unit showcased large-scale cutting and sewing operations supplying the global market.
The department extends its heartfelt thanks to the management and staff of Auko-Tex Group for their warm hospitality and comprehensive explanations, which enabled students to gain a clear understanding of complex technical processes. This industrial visit proved to be an inspiring and valuable experience, better preparing Batch 231_1 for future careers in the apparel and textile industry.
