The Institution of Textile Engineers and Technologists (ITET), Bangladesh officially handed over responsibilities to its newly elected 15th Council through a formal Handover & Takeover Ceremony held on Saturday evening at the ITET office in Uttara, Dhaka.

The ceremony marked an important moment for ITET as the newly elected 15th Council officially took over leadership from the Interim Convenor Committee. The event was attended by ITET President Engr. Md. Enayet Hossain, Former Interim Convenor Engr. Ehsanul Karim Kaiser, Interim Committee Member Secretary Engr. A.K.M. Mohsin Ahmed, and Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX), Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Zulhash Uddin. Newly elected council members, senior textile professionals, former council members, and ITET members also joined the program.
During the ceremony, the Interim Convenor Committee officially handed over its responsibilities to the new council and thanked all members for their support during the transition. The newly elected council expressed its commitment to making ITET stronger, improving professional excellence, and creating more opportunities for textile engineers and technologists.

The program ended with a message of unity and teamwork. Members expressed their hope that the 15th Council will help move Bangladesh’s textile and apparel industry forward through innovation, knowledge sharing, strong leadership, and closer industry collaboration.
