The International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) and the International Apparel Federation (IAF) successfully concluded their second joint convention, held this year in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Organized in close collaboration with the Indonesian Textile Association (API), the event brought together more than 400 delegates from across the global textile and apparel value chain.

The conference program received an enthusiastic response, featuring a wide array of high-level discussions on key topics shaping the future of the industry. Sessions explored technology adoption, evolving legislation, fibre innovation, audit fatigue reduction, decarbonization, artificial intelligence applications, and the ongoing transformation of Indonesia’s textile and apparel sector. The ITMF Awards ceremony further highlighted innovation, sustainability, and collaboration through inspiring presentations by the award winners.
In addition to the conference sessions, ITMF and IAF continued their tradition of hosting culturally rich and memorable social events. Delegates were warmly welcomed by the Sultan of Yogyakarta at an exclusive opening dinner, while the Gala Dinner—held in front of the iconic Prambanan Temple—offered a breathtaking venue for networking and celebration. This remarkable evening also marked the start of the presidencies of ITMF President Juan Parés and IAF President Stefano Festa Marzotto.
The program also included company visits that showcased Indonesia’s dynamic textile and apparel ecosystem. Delegates toured PT Dan Liris, PT Pan Brothers, PT Ambassador Garmindo, Gallery Batik Jawa, PT Golden Tekstil Indonesia (GTI), and PT Ungaran Sari Garment, gaining valuable insights into the nation’s manufacturing excellence, innovation, and commitment to sustainability.
The success of the 2025 convention was made possible through the strong support of the Indonesian Textile Association (API), along with ITMF and IAF member companies PT Dan Liris and PT Pan Brothers. Together, they presented Indonesia’s vibrant and forward-looking textile and apparel industry—demonstrating the country’s position as a premier destination for textile and garment production.
