JBCCI Hosts Farewell Reception Honoring H.E. Mr. Iwama Kiminori, Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh

The Japan-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JBCCI) hosted a farewell reception on December 19, 2024, in honor of H.E. Mr. Iwama Kiminori, Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh. The event brought together an esteemed gathering, including JBCCI Board Members, Past Board Members, Past Presidents, and senior officials from the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh.

The program commenced with a warm welcome and opening remarks by Mr. Md. Emran, Executive Director of JBCCI. This was followed by heartfelt speeches from Past Presidents Mr. Matiur Rahman and Mr. Salahuddin Kashem Khan, along with Board Members, who expressed their gratitude and shared cherished memories of His Excellency. They highlighted his significant contributions to JBCCI and conveyed their best wishes for his future endeavors.

As a token of appreciation, JBCCI Board Members presented gifts of gratitude to Ambassador Iwama.

Addressing the attendees, H.E. Mr. Iwama Kiminori reflected on his experiences with JBCCI and its vital role in fostering strong business relations between Japan and Bangladesh. He expressed optimism about JBCCI’s continued growth and contributions to bilateral trade and cooperation.

In his closing remarks, JBCCI President Mr. Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan (Jun) conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the Ambassador for his unwavering support to JBCCI and for his efforts in strengthening the partnership between the two nations.

The reception was a testament to the enduring collaboration and friendship between Japan and Bangladesh, with JBCCI serving as a key pillar in advancing mutual economic ties.
