A high-level delegation from UK visited the Vancot Limited, a sister concern of Shin Shin Group, on 7th October 2025 in Chattogram. The UK delegation includes The Rt Hon. the Baroness Winterton of Doncaster DBE, the UK Government’s Trade Envoy to Bangladesh, H.E. Ms. Sarah Cooke, British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, and other senior officials from the UK High Commission in Bangladesh.
Chairman of Shin Shin Group Mr. Mohammad Sohel Sadat along with Board of Directors of Shin Shin Group welcomed the distinguished delegation at Vancot Ltd. Mr. Mohammad Ismail, Senior Ethical Trade Manager at Primark Bangladesh, was also present on the occasion.
Baroness Winterton and H.E. Sarah Cooke exchanged views with the management and workers of Vancot Ltd during their visit. They praised the decent workplace and sustainability commitments of the apparel factory. They highly appreciated the CSR initiatives of Shin Shin Group, such as disability inclusion programme, higher education programme for female workers at the Asian University of Women (AUW).
Chairman of Shin Shin Group Mr. Mohammad Sohel Sadat briefed the delegation about the current and future plans of Vancot Ltd and expressed its firm commitment of promoting sustainability and responsible business.
Baroness Winterton and H.E. Sarah Cooke also unveiled the Sustainability Report 2024 of Shin Shin Group during the visit.
