A remarkable panel discussion was held at the BUTEX Career Fair 2025, organized by the BUTEX Career Club (BCC) and powered by Fakir Group and Fashion Step Group. The session brought together prominent industry leaders who shared their perspectives on the topic:
“Steering Bangladesh Textiles to the Next Growth Phase: Leaders’ Perspectives.”

Key Highlights and Thoughts Shared by the Leaders:

Sumon Kante Singha (Fakir Group) emphasized the role of people, leadership, and organizational development in driving growth. He highlighted that future competitiveness in the textile sector will largely depend on talent readiness, digital transformation, and sustainability practices.

Sk. Mamun Ferdoush (Masco Group) stressed the importance of strong marketing and merchandising strategies. He noted that Bangladesh must move beyond price competitiveness and strengthen its position in value-added products, design innovation, and customer-centric approaches.

Md Aminul Islam (Transfar Chemicals) shared insights on the critical role of sustainable chemicals and eco-friendly processes in ensuring compliance and global competitiveness. He pointed out that innovation in chemical usage and greener production technologies will be vital for the next phase of growth.

Engr. A.T.M Shamsu Uddin Khan (Maliha Export Import Co. Ltd) focused on global trade perspectives, supply chain efficiency, and the integration of technology in manufacturing. He underlined that Bangladesh’s textile sector must embrace advanced automation and diversified markets to sustain growth.

The moderator, A.S.M. Hafizur Rahman (Nixon), summarized the discussion by noting that Bangladesh is at a crucial juncture where collaboration, innovation, and strategic transformation are essential for sustaining growth in the textile and apparel industry.
