The Li & Fung BD Alumni Network has celebrated its 1st Grand Get Together Program, scheduled to be held on last Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort. This much-anticipated event aims to reunite former colleagues and friends under the heartfelt theme “Reconnect • Reminisce • Reignite,” celebrating the spirit and legacy of the Li & Fung BD family.
The evening has began with a warm welcome and an emotional reconnection among 300+ alumni, many of whom have not seen each other in years. One of the key highlights of the event was the official unveiling of the Li & Fung BD Alumni Network logo—a symbol of unity, continuity, and the enduring professional and personal relationships that have formed over the years. This special moment will mark the beginning of a new chapter for the alumni community.
Adding to the festivities, a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony has taken place, providing a joyful moment for all attendees to collectively honour the memories, milestones, and friendships that defined their journey at Li & Fung BD.
Lal Udagedara, Former Senior Vice President & Country Representative of LF Sourcing & Special Guest offered a heartfelt reflection: “When I look back at our journey at Li & Fung BD, what stands out is not just the work, but the people—the bonds we built, the lessons we learned, and the legacy we created together. This get-together is a reminder of those golden times.”
Rajib K Islam, Former Senior Vice President of LF Sourcing & Special Guest, looked ahead: “While this event is rooted in our past, it’s also about the future. It’s about reigniting the sense of purpose and unity that defined our time at Li & Fung BD. Let’s carry that spirit forward.”
