Made in Bangladesh Week begins tomorrow

Desk Report: “Made in Bangladesh Week 2022” is going to begin tomorrow in Dhaka. Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to inaugurate the mega event at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC).

Faruque Hassan, President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), announced the programme schedule at a press conference at Sheraton Hotel in the capital today.

BGMEA is going to arrange the event in partnership with the Bangladesh Apparel Exchange at the International Convention Centre, Bashundhara in Dhaka. This event is powered by sponsor by EPIC Group and in association with PDS Ltd.

Local and international stakeholders are going to a convent in the Made in Bangladesh Week to discuss the scope of pursuing excellence in the RMG industry of Bangladesh and ways of forging collaborations to build a more resilient and sustainable industry.

The mega event will host a gathering of more than a thousand people from home and abroad, including key stakeholders in the local and global fashion industry like buyers, garment and textile manufacturers, trade bodies, policymakers, economists, development partners, embassies, and journalists who are expected to share their insight on how to foster industry collaboration in fashion to drive positive impacts on the industry, thus on the lives of people and the planet.

Made in Bangladesh Week is the first branding event of the Bangladesh Apparel Industry dedicated solely to celebrating and showcasing the groundbreaking, newest innovations, compliance, and sustainable developments of the RMG sector in the global market. The event aims to promote the apparel industry of Bangladesh locally and globally by showcasing the compelling stories of the ready-made garments sector, especially its impressive strides in the areas of workplace safety, environmental sustainability and workers’ well-being.
