MagnaColours® recently proudly announced that they are now certified to ZDHC Confidence Level 3 (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) – the highest ZDHC certification level currently available. ZDHC Confidence Level 3 means that over 55 MagnaPrint® and MagnaTrans®  Oeko-Tex® Eco-Passport certified inks and additives also meet ZDHC’s MRSL (Manufacturers Restricted Substances List), and are verified as being responsibly manufactured.

ZDHC aims to remove harmful chemicals from production and the supply chain to protect workers, consumers, and the environment. MagnaColours ensures that our core ranges not only conform to the requirements of ZDHCs MRSL but to the strict MRSLs of global brands and retailers. Through our efforts, we are reducing not only our chemical footprint and environmental impact, but the impact of our customers as well.

MagnaColours has also been working to expand the range of inks and additives now certified as Oeko-Tex Eco-Passport and as GOTS Approved Inputs (Global Organic Textile Standard), so they can be used in the production of GOTS certified garments.

“We have been leading the charge towards more ecologically friendly printing for many years, from setting our own stringent RSL guidelines through our GNA® compliance programme to aiding printers globally to switch to water-based printing,” says Managing Director Helen Parry. “Working to be certified as ZDHC level 3 was a key achievement in our commitment to driving the printing industry to be more environmentally friendly and reducing its impact on the environment”.

MagnaColours will be continuing to expand the range of products available certified under Oeko-Tex Eco-Passport and as GOTS Approved Inputs. Contact us for more information on specific products.
