Mahbubul Alam has been elected as the new President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industries (FBCCI) for the term 2023-2025. The election took place at the FBCCI office in Motijheel, Dhaka, with prominent business leaders gathering to cast their votes and determine the leadership for the next two years.

The Election Board Chairman, A Matin Chowdhury, officially announced the names of the new office bearers of FBCCI after the successful conclusion of the elections. Alongside Mahbubul Alam, Md Amin Helay secured the position of Senior Vice President, while six Vice Presidents were elected from different groups within the organization.

The newly elected Vice Presidents include Khairul Huda Chopol, Mohammad Anwar Sadat Sarker, and Joshoda Jibon Deb Nath from the chamber group, and Shomi Kaiser, Rashadul Hossain Chowdhury, and Md Munir Hossain from the association group.

Upon assuming the prestigious position, Mahbubul Alam expressed his gratitude to the members of FBCCI for their trust and support. He outlined his vision for the growth of Bangladesh’s business sector, emphasizing the importance of innovation, modernization, and sustainable practices. The president-elect pledged to work closely with all stakeholders to create a more conducive environment for businesses to thrive and contribute to the country’s economic prosperity.

Mahbubul Alam brings a wealth of experience to the role, having been actively involved in the business community for several years. His election as FBCCI President signals a promising and transformative era for Bangladesh’s trade and industry landscape.
