Majumder Group Signs Agreement with GSolaric Bangladesh Ltd. for 518 kWp OPEX Rooftop Solar Power Plant

In a significant move toward the adoption of sustainable and renewable energy, Majumder Group has signed an agreement with GSolaric Bangladesh Ltd., a concern of Solaric, to install a 518 kWp OPEX Rooftop Solar Power Plant at its facility in Paschimpara, Tongi, Gazipur.

The signing ceremony marks an important milestone in Majumder Group’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. Under the agreement, GSolaric Bangladesh Ltd. will develop, install, and operate the rooftop solar system under the OPEX (Operational Expenditure) model, allowing Majumder Group to utilize clean solar energy without upfront capital investment.

The solar power plant will be installed at the Majumder Group’s operational facility in Paschimpara, Tongi, Gazipur, where it will generate renewable electricity to support factory operations and reduce dependence on the conventional grid. As the solar project owner, GSolaric Bangladesh Ltd. will be responsible for the system’s operation, monitoring, and maintenance.

The initiative reflects the growing momentum of renewable energy adoption within Bangladesh’s industrial sector, particularly among manufacturing companies aiming to reduce carbon emissions and promote environmentally responsible production practices.

The signing ceremony was attended by several distinguished representatives from both organizations. On behalf of Majumder Group, Syedul Haque Majumder, Chairman; Syed Mohd Sajjad, Managing Director; Enam Md Eysas, Deputy Managing Director; Sabrina Haque, Director; and Paplu Roy Talukder, DGM – Admin, HR & Compliance were present.

Representing GSolaric Bangladesh Ltd. were Nasir Ahmed, Director & CTO and Md. Istiak Islam, Manager (Business Development), who participated in the signing ceremony and discussions on project implementation.

In addition, other senior officials and representatives from both organizations were present at the signing ceremony, underscoring the importance of this collaboration and the shared commitment to advancing renewable energy adoption in the industrial sector.

Both parties expressed optimism that this collaboration will help reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable energy use in Bangladesh’s industrial landscape. The project is expected to play a vital role in supporting cleaner production and strengthening the country’s transition to renewable energy.

With this initiative, Majumder Group continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable development, while GSolaric Bangladesh Ltd. further strengthens its position as a leading provider of rooftop solar solutions for Bangladesh’s growing industrial sector.
