Leading Mexican retailer Coppel has expressed a strong interest in establishing long-term trade relations with Bangladesh, citing the country’s high-quality products and competitive prices.

Business leaders in both countries believe that cooperation between the Bangladesh Embassy in Mexico and local exporters has already opened new commercial doors to Latin America.
They expect trade between Bangladesh and the region to expand significantly in the coming years that could exceed $1b annually if business partnerships like this continue to grow.

Al-Muslim Group Managing Director Abdullah noted that Latin America represents an untapped but promising market for Bangladeshi businesses.
“Mexico and other Latin American nations are populous and have large consumer bases. Our discussions with Coppel have been very encouraging,” he said.
He also praised Ambassador Ansarey for his active support in fostering new trade initiatives. “With such diplomatic assistance, Bangladeshi entrepreneurs can confidently compete in the global market,” Abdullah added.
